At Benaiah, integrity, quality, and accountability aren’t values we list, they’re principles we live by. We build strong professional relationships through transparent communication, reliable delivery, and a commitment to doing things right.

Our People Are the Difference

The Benaiah team is diverse in skill, experience, and background, providing a broad knowledge base and a well-rounded management service.

Projects are jointly managed by senior leaders and emerging leaders, paired intentionally to bring both deep experience and modern relevance to our project delivery. This structure ensures quality oversight, risk mitigation, and confident delivery, combined with the drive, pace, and tech-forward thinking required in today’s environments.

We work collaboratively across our business structure, meaning each project benefits from collective expertise and cross-team contribution, a unique strength of our boutique management model.  We see this as the Benaiah point of difference, and the difference you’ll experience on your next project.

Meet our Senior Team

Ben Bourke

Director

With over 17 years’ experience in the civil engineering and development industry, and tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, and business management – Ben leads Benaiah with a sharp eye for detail and a deeply pragmatic approach. His background allows him to deliver cost-effective design and construction solutions across a vast array of projects: from residential estate land development and contaminated site remediation to RMS road upgrades, parkland works, and large-scale open space delivery.

Ben is known for managing multiple projects at once with calm intensity, often switching between personal and professional conversations mid-sentence – usually because he’s already three steps ahead of the room. He’s also known for saying, “it’s not the hours in the day, but the day’s in the hours”… and meaning it.

Outside the office, Ben’s the guy who builds the most high-end cubby house you’ve ever seen, races across New Zealand in 48-hour adventure events, and somehow still shows up fresh on Monday. That’s just how his brain works.

Brett Buckpitt

Construction & Contracts Manager

With over 20 years of hands-on industry experience, Brett brings grounded, solutions-focused leadership to construction and contract management. Having started his career quite literally in the paddock – on what he calls the “big boy toys” – he’s spent the last two decades overseeing major sites and administering contracts across a range of projects, from master-planned greenfield developments to intricate infrastructure works.

Brett is known for his pragmatic approach, clear thinking under pressure, and ability to get things done without fuss. He brings structure to complexity and a calm, no-nonsense energy to every team and timeline he leads.

His only known bias? A lifelong allegiance to the Panthers – though, depending on who you ask, he might count that as another example of his loyalty and good judgement.

Jacob Baker

Construction Manager

With a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and Property, Jacob brings strong technical knowledge and built form experience to every project he leads. His background spans commercial construction across sectors including education, health, and residential, where he’s managed delivery under GC21 contracts and taken on Clerk of Works roles with confidence and clarity.

At Benaiah, Jacob is our go-to for all things construction admin, handling PAP and CAP responsibilities with a level of precision most people wouldn’t admit to enjoying. He’s detail-driven, client-focused, and delivers projects that not only meet the brief but often exceed expectations.

Known around the team as “Jacob 2.0” or “BakerBoy,” he starts every day with a double-shot piccolo (dad life), ranks pubs by the quality of their Parmi (controversial), and recharges with beach walks alongside his daughters and their dog, Huxley.

Daniel Chow

Senior Project Manager

Daniel brings over a decade of experience in the development sector, with a solid foundation in both finance and engineering through his tertiary qualifications. His capability spans the full development lifecycle, from feasibility and design through to construction management, registration, and asset handover.

With sharp commercial insight and technical fluency, Daniel manages complex projects with calm confidence and a clear focus on delivering outcomes. Whether he’s navigating high-level approvals or coordinating contractor milestones, he brings both precision and perspective to the table.

Daniel’s strength lies in his ability to balance the big picture with fine details – always ensuring client objectives stay front and centre throughout the entire delivery process.

Bec Lloyd

financial management & strategic direction

Bec brings over eight years of executive leadership experience within the NFP and international development sector, driving revenue growth and measurable impact. As CEO, she doubled total funds raised within four years while expanding international programs and delivering on long-term strategic objectives.

With hands-on cross-cultural leadership experience and close collaboration with boards and senior teams locally and internationally, Bec is systems-oriented and grounded in strategic clarity. She builds empowered teams, aligns vision with execution, and ensures growth is sustainable and measurable.

At Benaiah, Bec leads financial management and strategic direction, bringing commercial discipline and structured long-term planning to the business. She holds a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, and is completing her MBA at the University of Technology Sydney.

Known for having “many pots on the burner” (and delivering on all of them) Bec balances strategic oversight with operational precision. Outside of work, she’s usually running, spending time with her two kids, or taking on her next challenge.

Our Clients

Our clients span both the public and private sectors, including major developers, government agencies, and boutique consultancies.

In the public sector, we work with local and state government agencies across Sydney Metro and regional areas – north, south, and west. In the private sector, our clients range from tier-one developers to smaller, specialist agencies.

We understand the specific needs, expectations, and constraints each client type brings, and tailor our approach to meet them with precision.
