Description:
Major watercourse realignment and riparian corridor delivery, enabling the subdivision of 11 lots earmarked for future open space, built form, and retail development. Works included 8.6 hectares of open space, 2.2km of lead-in high-voltage electrical infrastructure, and the construction of a pedestrian bridge.
Project Detail
The Works by Legacy Property involves the redevelopment of the former Corrimal Cokeworks industrial site. This heritage-significant precinct will be transformed into a vibrant new community accommodating approximately 3,000 future residents.
Located within the Wollongong City Council LGA, the project is conveniently positioned near beaches, train stations, schools, and established retail precincts. The development will also deliver several parks, community gardens, and a revitalised riparian corridor integrated into the overall open space network.
Our Role
Benaiah is engaged to provide specialist project management and construction superintendency services for this landmark project.
- Realignment of the existing watercourse and riparian corridor rehabilitation
- Stages 2-4 subdivision & enabling works, including creation of:
- 8 super lots for future built form and retail development
- 3 open space lots (8.6ha)
- Open space embellishment works across the parks include but are not limited to retaining walls, gathering lawns, seating areas, play spaces, nature trails, pathways, amphitheatres, and community gardens.
- Pedestrian bridge spanning over existing water course
- 2.2km of lead in HV electrical infrastructure
