Project Detail

Penrith Beach is a new public swimming and recreation precinct in Western Sydney, created to provide a safe, accessible inland beach experience for local residents and the broader region. Positioned beside the Nepean River corridor, the project forms part of a wider vision to expand outdoor recreation options in Sydney’s growth areas, offering a high-quality destination featuring designated swimming zones, lifeguard facilities, shaded areas, landscaping, and improved pedestrian connections to surrounding open space. The initiative enhances local liveability, encourages active recreation, and delivers a unique waterfront asset for the Penrith community.

Our Role

Benaiah was engaged by DPHI to provide specialist project and construction management in order to successfully activate the hugely popular Penrith Beach. Our role encompassed procurement, programming, and construction delivery. Aspects of the project included:

  • Over 300m of swimmable waterfront
  • Lifeguard and safety infrastructure
  • Shaded seating and recreation spaces including temporary village area
  • Upgraded carpark and access paths for greater connectivity
