Five Minutes with Richard

Richard is a valued member of our team here at Benaiah. Our resident Brit started his professional career in 2004 and has gone from strength to strength. In his role as Senior Project Manager,

Richard has been able to employ elements of his European experience of public realm, major projects, highway and traffic engineering to the benefit of projects in ACT and NSW.

What brought you to Benaiah?
Opportunity to directly develop/influence the business with the Managing Director. Working with a developer on a large scale development in its early stages of delivery. Training and mentoring colleagues.

What projects have you worked on with Benaiah so far?
Dahua’s Menangle Park and Lendlease’s Jordan Springs.

What do you love about working at Benaiah?
Team and culture, enthusiasm and energy, large scale and long term projects.

What kind of project would you love to work on in the future and why?
I have recently been involved with assessing and managing responses to some ecological sensitive communities which I found interesting - I’d like to continue developing my expertise in environmental engineering including managing ecology, stormwater and flooding.

What do your weekends look like?
I usually catch up with friends, head to the beach, go for a bush walk or urban safari exploring Sydney, and try a new café and/or restaurant. I also volunteer for Marine Rescue NSW at Middle Harbour one weekend per month where we patrol Sydney Harbour and beyond responding to calls for assistance and emergencies.
